What does DAOTY mean?

DOATY stands for Doll Artist of the Year

Who can enter the DAOTY Awards?

ANY artist from ANYWHERE in the World can enter the competition.

Which doll kit can I enter?

You can enter ANY Doll Kit

Who will be the Jury of the Contest?

We will have a panel of anonymous judges who will be annouced AFTER the competition. This way if will insure fairness and transparency. No judge will know who the artists are that entered. This will all be anonymous with only an Entry No. attached to the photo's. The public will also have the oppotunity to vote, but will need to register on the site in order to vote. Only ONE series of votes per person will be allowed. Once you voted on all dolls, you will not be able to vote again.

All pictures needs to be emailed back to us with your original proof of registration to Your pictures MUST BE the full resolution as taken by your camera with NO alternations

Do I have to have the doll in my possession or can it be a doll I reborned some time ago and sold?

The doll you enter MUST BE a doll you reborned specifically for the competition.

Can I post pictures of my entry in public for my friends and others to see?

No, under NO circumstances can you display your entry on any website, social site etc... If we are informed that you have shown your doll to anyone PRIOR to the end of the competition, you will be disqualified with immediate effect. DAOTY's decision will be final and your entry fees will not be refundable.

Is there an Entry Fee for this Contest?

Yes, this year's fee is $35.00 per entry, non-refundable.

How many dolls can I enter into the Contest?

You may enter up to three dolls in each category of the contest.

Can I have my logo or name on my photos?

No, NO indentifying markings will be allowed on any photo's as well as any identifying objects in the pictures - especially props that you constantly use in your pictures.
